Working KITAS

  • The Working KITAS is intended for individuals who wish to work in an Indonesian company and receive a salary in Indonesia.
  • With this residence permit, you can enter and exit the country as you wish.
  • The KITAS is valid for 1 or 2 years and can be extended up to a maximum of 6 years through renewals.
  • The Working KITAS consists of a residence permit (KITAS) and a work permit.
  • You can apply for the KITAS either from abroad (OFFSHORE) or within Indonesia (ONSHORE).
  • This residence permit allows you to sponsor your family members with a Family KITAS.

  • Copy of passport with a minimum validity of 18 months
  • Bank statement for the last 3 months with a minimum balance of USD 2,000 at the end of the month (name, surname, PDF format)

  • CV (Curriculum Vitae)
  • Employment contract
  • Address in Indonesia
  • Flight ticket for arrival in Indonesia (OFFSHORE only)
  • Boarding pass (OFFSHORE only)
  • Current electronic visa + stamp (ONSHORE only)

Sponsor Documents

  • Deed of the company (notarial deed)
  • SK Menkeh
  • Risk-Based NIB including PKKPR
  • Lease contract for the company's address
  • Letterhead
  • Company stamp (Physical Stamp)
  • Balinese ID card
  • Passport of the Director & Commissioner
  • SKTU or KKKPR or Izin Usaha
  • NPWP of the company
  • Molina site username and password + TKA
  • Company profile (Perseroan profile from AHU)
  • WLKP (Wajib Lapor Ketenagakerjaan) — 1 foreign employee must be accompanied by 10 local employees
  • Certificate of foreign assistant (for extension)
  • Company organizational structure that lists foreign worker positions

Important Notes

  • This residence permit allows you to work legally in an Indonesian company.
  • It allows you to receive a salary.
  • The KITAS must be sponsored by the employer company.
  • Maximum validity: 6 years (extensions included).
  • You can enter and exit the country freely.
  • You must adhere to the region associated with your work permit.
  • The KITAS allows you to sponsor your family members with a Family KITAS.
  • In case of exceeding the validity of the KITAS: a penalty of 1 million IDR per day, per person.
  • The KITAS can be converted into another type of KITAS with a Bridge Visa.
  • An EPO (Exit Permit Only) is required at the end of the KITAS validity.
  • If you apply for a Working KITAS with a validity of less than 1 year, you cannot extend it.
  • Immigration rules can change at any time.
