Family KITAS

  • This KITAS is for people who are dependent on a relative with a residence permit or a relative with Indonesian nationality.
  • The KITAS is valid for 1 year; it is possible to make 5 extensions of 1 year. Maximum validity: 6 years.
  • It allows you to enter and leave the territory as you wish.
  • It is necessary to stay in Indonesia during the extension period (30 days).
  • You can apply for the KITAS from abroad (OFFSHORE) or from Indonesia (ONSHORE).
  • The maximum age for children to obtain this KITAS is 17 years old.

Exit Permit Only (EPO): Mandatory if you want to stop your KITAS or apply for another residence permit. Price starts from IDR 1,000,000.

Required Documents

Applicant Documents

  • 3 latest bank statements of the sponsor (spouse/husband) with a minimum of USD 2,000 in PDF format
  • Identity Photo (selfie on a white background)
  • Copy of passport with a minimum validity of 18 months
  • Copy of marriage certificate or family record book (in English)
  • Insurance with name in PDF format
  • Current visa (ONSHORE only)
  • Boarding pass (OFFSHORE only)
  • For children: Copy of birth certificate (must be translated into English)

Sponsor Documents (Company)

  • Deed of the company (Akta), SK Menkumham, NIB and Letterhead
  • Physical stamp, Balinese ID card / local KTP
  • KTP / Passport of Director
  • KKPR, NPWP of the company
  • Username and password for visa online (if not available, add bank statement of the company with minimum USD 10,000)

Sponsor: Indonesian Spouse

  • Copy of spouse's KTP ID card
  • Copy of spouse's Kartu Keluarga (Family Book)
  • Copy of spouse's birth certificate
  • Last 3 bank statements of spouse with USD 2,000
  • Copy of Marriage Certificate / Marriage Book

Important Notes

  • This KITAS does not allow you to work and receive money in Indonesia. You cannot sell goods or services.
  • We can convert a visa to a Family KITAS.
  • You must be sponsored by either a spouse with a KITAS or an Indonesian spouse.
  • Please inform us of your travel or exit plans to extend your KITAS on time.
  • The KITAS is multiple entry — you can enter and exit the country as you wish.
  • If you have a Family KITAS sponsored by an Indonesian spouse, you can apply for a work permit.
  • Extensions must be initiated 1 month before the end of the validity period.
  • The validity period of your Family KITAS will be the same as your sponsor's KITAS.
  • It is not possible to apply for a 2-year Family KITAS if your sponsor's KITAS is only valid for 1 year.
  • If you overstay your residence permit, the penalty is IDR 1 million per day per person.
  • Immigration reserves the right to change regulations at any time.
  • We cannot initiate the OFFSHORE creation process if you are in Indonesia.
